Photo of the Day, November 5, 2011. Taken November 5, 2010. Mt. Shasta from I-5 Rest Area. California.

Exactly one a year ago this week, I received a "your mother is very ill, you need to be here now, bring funeral clothes" phone call. So I went. Yesterday's Photo of the Day was taken on the drive to Sacramento a few minutes after I got the call that she was out of the woods and would probably make it.

This one was about a half hour later... Same day, same drive... One year ago today.
